ATPONLY specialty bar: Classic Longevity Bar V3
Classic Longevity Bar V3: a safety squat bar developed for the handle squat.
A squat bar designed for the handle squat. The weight still sits on your upper back and shoulders, but you hold handles that extend forward, so your hands don't have to reach behind your neck to grip the bar. For people with stiff shoulders, or whose lower back and knees tend to feel stressed in a traditional squat, it's an easier way to squat with control.
If you want to squat but are worried about the load on your shoulders, back or knees, this bar is usually an easier starting point.
At Beyoung Training, the coach first looks at your situation, then starts you with a version you can do and control now.
This bar is used in Beyoung Training's Free-Weight Group Class and one-on-one and two-person sessions.

Why the Longevity Bar?
The Longevity Bar is a safety squat bar developed for the handle squat.
Strength training is a key way to maintain physical function as we age, and the ability to control torso stability is the most important part of strength performance.
The handle squat reduces the unnecessary shear stress that traditional squats and deadlifts place on the lower back and knees, and is one of the movements in current strength training with the greatest potential for safely overloading the torso.
The Longevity Bar was developed specifically for the handle squat. It's named the Longevity Bar because it lets people train safely for the long term.
The Longevity Bar solves two problems that every safety squat bar on the market has with the handle squat:
1. The bar's geometry tends to put too much pressure on the back of the neck, the shoulders or the lower back
2. The pads wear out very easily, leading to pressure on and injury to the neck and shoulders
The Longevity Bar's geometry offers more freedom, letting you control your torso angle more freely. It also lets people with limited shoulder mobility do squat training without being held back by their shoulders.
Its detachable handles also give you a huge range of training options —
back squats, front squats, hands-free squats, handle squats, rear-foot-elevated split squats, handle rear-foot-elevated split squats, goblet squats, Zercher squats, back good mornings, single-leg good mornings, front good mornings, bear-hug deadlifts, overhead presses, bench presses, farmer's walks…
Being able to keep choosing from many movement variations over the long term, within a safe range, is the biggest benefit for Longevity Bar users.
