What you'll train in personal training
Sessions are planned around your goals and current situation, but the core is full-body basic movements and training you can progress step by step. It commonly includes
Horizontal upper-body push and pull, such as the bench press and row
Vertical upper-body push and pull, such as the overhead press, pulldown, or pull-up variations
Lower-body push and pull, such as the squat, deadlift, and split squat
Core stability and loaded carries, so you feel steadier and more confident applying force
Movement control and tempo practice, for smoother force and lower risk
You don't need to know any of this before you come.
The coach starts from what you can do, helps you learn each movement clearly, and then moves you forward gradually.
If you want to learn breathing, core, and basic movements properly from the start, you can also begin with Beginner Strength Training.
Want to train with someone you know?
If you already have a friend, partner, or family member you want to train with regularly, have a look at Two-Person Personal Training.
You train together, but you don't need to be at the same level. How it works and when it makes sense to start together are explained on the Two-Person Personal Training in Kaohsiung page.

If you're not sure which class suits you, or have never done strength training, you can start with a One-on-One Trial.
The trial is 60 minutes. The coach first learns about your training experience, health, and current movement basics, then takes you through some basic movements so you can get a feel for them. Afterwards, the coach explains which type of training would suit you best, based on what they saw in the session.
One-on-One Trial: NT$2,500.
No pressure. Just come, talk, and move a little, so we can get to know where you are right now.
FAQ
Here are the most common questions about personal training, including the first session,
one-on-one training, and concerns about safety and injury.
Is one-on-one personal training a good idea for a complete beginner?
Not necessarily. One-on-one suits you better if you want someone watching all your movements, help setting your starting point, or you don't yet know which movements and weights to start with. If you mainly want to learn the basic movements first, you can also compare Beginner Strength Training LV1 / LV2.
Can I start with no fitness experience at all?
Yes. You don't need to know how to squat or deadlift, or get fit first. The coach starts with the version you can do with control now, then gradually increases the load and difficulty.
I live around Fengshan. Is Beyoung a good choice for personal training?
Start by checking the actual travel distance. Beyoung is in the Wenshan area, at No. 95, Baoyang E. St., Sanmin Dist., Kaohsiung, close to the Fengshan area. If you usually spend your time around Wenshan, Fengshan, or Sanmin, consider the commute, class times, and the kind of coaching you need together.
Can a one-on-one session be just me and the coach?
One-on-one sessions use a private training space, used by one coach and one client during the session. Beyoung doesn't offer open-gym access to members, so no other members will be using equipment around you during your session.
What if I'm afraid of getting hurt? We first make the movement stable and smooth, then increase intensity gradually. The key is control, not forcing it. If anything feels uncomfortable, we change the version right away.
What happens in the first session? First session We first learn about your goals and current situation, then build stability starting with breathing, core, and basic movements. You'll know clearly what you're learning and what comes next. I'm not feeling great today. Do I still have to push through? No. Training isn't a test, and how you feel is part of the plan. We adjust the exercise version and pace so you still get something out of it without forcing it.
Always learning, not stopping at a certificate
Since 2019, coach Wei Tzu-Hsiang has kept studying with Monster Training,
from the strength & conditioning coach club and the coach research program to the current advanced free-weight group training program.
All of this learning comes back to the training floor: choosing the exercise version, deciding when to add weight, and knowing which cue helps the person in front of him right now.
