Main focus: strength training, one-on-one / two-person personal training, and strength training for older adults.

Keep learning, and bring it back to the training floor

Since entering the fitness industry in 2019, Wei Tzu-Hsiang has kept taking coach education and specialist workshops.

Certificates and courses aren't the end point of coaching. What's learned has to come back to the training floor: how the program is laid out, which version of a movement to choose, when to add weight, and which cue actually helps the person in front of you.

When even walking had to be relearned

I used to think a coach's job was to run a good session and make people stronger. Then an accident left me with a comminuted fracture, and my life shrank to a wheelchair, crutches, and the same exercises every day.

The hardest part wasn't the pain. It was wanting to move forward and finding I couldn't. Walking, taking the stairs, carrying a bag — things I never used to think about — all became tasks that needed planning and a bit of courage. You start to wonder whether this is as good as it gets, and you worry that one wrong move will undo everything you've rebuilt.

That experience taught me one thing. What brings people back to everyday life is training that can be repeated, recovered from, and built up step by step. It isn't dramatic and it isn't fast, but it works.

Later, I brought that into my coaching

What I want to do is simple: turn the method into a version you can actually do, so you keep making steady progress every week.

We put movement quality and control first. "Being exhausted after class" is not the goal. The goal is a training rhythm you can keep up for the long term — clear, safe and sustainable, getting stronger at a pace you can handle. Once most people settle back into regular training, their bodies gradually adapt and their capacity goes up.

From coaching to opening my own studio, what I've wanted to build is a place people want to keep coming back to: a clear routine, a method you can rely on, and intensity that can be adjusted.

Coaching can't rely on gut feeling alone

Since 2019 I've kept taking Monster Training courses and coach education. In 2020 I joined the 15th cohort of the Strength & Conditioning Coach Club, in 2021 I entered the coach research program, and from March 2023 to May 2026 I attended cohorts 20 to 26. In June 2026 the research program was renamed the Monster Training Advanced Free-Weight Group Training Program, and I still attend as a student.

Along the way I've been greatly inspired by Dr. Li-An Ho and the Monster Training system. I've come to see that training isn't about chasing a short-term thrill. It's about teaching movements that look simple clearly, so each person can find a version they can do.

Continuing education gives program design and coaching cues a method and a basis. When students differ in age, experience and physical condition, I know which direction to adjust in, instead of relying on how things feel in the moment.

If you'd like to learn more, Dr. Li-An Ho has written a Chinese-language book on why the body needs training with enough intensity as we get older, and what role heavy strength training plays in that. If you prefer listening, the Monster Training radio podcast (in Mandarin) has many episodes on program design and real coaching situations — one episode fits easily into a commute.

Why I'm doing this in Kaohsiung

Taiwan is becoming a super-aged society very quickly. Strength is the foundation for staying independent in daily life. People with enough strength rely less on others for everyday activities and have more capacity to look after their families.

I want Beyoung Training to be a place in Kaohsiung where beginners feel ready to start, older adults feel welcome, and people who've been injured can come in with peace of mind — so training becomes a habit you can rely on for years.

What you'll find here

One-on-one, two-person, Beginner Strength Training – LV1 / LV2 and the Free-Weight Group Class all start from what you can do right now. You build up steadily with a version that suits you, with no need to compare yourself to the person next to you.

I'm still a strength & conditioning coach today. What matters to me more than how much you lifted today is whether you feel more confident next week — whether carrying things, climbing stairs, or going out with your family feels a little easier.

If you haven't exercised in a long time, you don't need to decide whether you're "good enough" first. If you're not sure whether one-on-one or a group class suits you, tell us about your current physical condition and training experience, and we'll work out where to start.

Everyone's situation is different. If you have any concerns, please talk to a medical professional first.

What I coach at Beyoung Training

At Beyoung Training I currently coach one-on-one and two-person personal training, Beginner Strength Training – LV1 / LV2, and the Free-Weight Group Class. For older adults, I also plan strength training around how they move right now.

Different class formats need different amounts of coach attention. If you're new to training or need a lot of individual adjustment, starting with one-on-one is usually the better fit. If you already have some free-weight experience, we can look at other formats based on where you are now.

Personal training

Best for people with no training experience, who aren't sure where their starting point is, or who want the coach to spend more time watching their movement. You can start with a One-on-One Trial. Private Training includes one-on-one and two-person personal training.

Free-Weight Group Class

The Free-Weight Group Class follows a shared program and a version for each week, with each person's weight set by their current ability. If a student isn't ready for that week's version, we make the necessary adjustments.

If you already have a training background, you don't need to start with one-on-one. Tell us which movements you've trained before, and we'll check whether you can join directly.

Beginner Strength Training – LV1 / LV2

Best for people who want to learn the basic movements first, are new to free weights, and may want to move on to a group class later. The class breaks the basic patterns — squat, hip hinge, upper-body push, upper-body pull and loaded carry — into separate practice, then adds load and difficulty as you learn.
